Pismo Butterflies The Monarch Butterfly Grove is located at the Pismo State Beach - North Beach Campground. It is a favorite area for the butterflies to winter. From November to February docents are on hand everyday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. There are also docent talks on Monarchs every day at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Click here for more information.
During butterfly season, you can purchase a beautiful color brochure all about Monarch butterflies.
The butterfly trailer also carries t-shirts, jewelry, postcards, educational books and many other butterfly souvenirs.
Directions: Northbound U.S. 101 exit Price Street in Pismo Beach. Travel north on Price for 25 yards to Ocean View Avenue, then left one block to Dolliver Street (Hwy. 1). Go left for 1 mile. Pismo State Beach North Beach campground will be on the right. Drive into campground and park in campsite #78. There are signs to the grove over the creek.
